The Da Vinci Code

Finally managed to catch the show last weekend, after waiting for the crowds to ease. With all the religious controversy surrounding this show, the Man and I were rather apprehensive about watching it. When my lil’ sis went with her kiddy frens to watch, I was quick to warn her not to take it too seriously, that’s it’s a fiction.

Ah… but I guess fiction can be convincing too. Especially with the painting of the last supper and the analysis… hmmm. It’s amazing how they could read the paintings like books, I was just there at the Louvre last year and I am ashamed to say I noticed non of that! =p Speaking of which, with all the hype about the famous museum and it’s magnificent pyramids, I must say I am most disappointed by the lack of coverage in the show…. sighhh… the place almost seems boring in the movie, just dark walls and eerie paintings. I had a totally different experience there!

The finale of the show touched me deeply thou. It reminded me that it doesn’t really matter what happened in history, what may or may not have transcended. It is really what I believe. My faith. I still love my God.

My favourite artefact in the museum that they missed out in the movie… Grrr!
