Happy Anniversary!

We celebrated our 1st year anniversary 2 days ago. It was uneventful. Ha! Not that we did not enjoy ourselves. Rather, we find joy in doing simple things! (Yeah right! Good excuse for an unromantic 1st anniversary! =p)

We both took half the day off and had lunch at a place filled with my old memories. Singapore Polytechnic! Yup! How cool! I finally managed to bring him to try this super-yummy fried chicken at this Malay store in Canteen 2. For those of you who know what I’m talking about, YES! It’s still there! And YES!! Still as yummy!!! =D~~

Next we went shopping at our local tourist spot. Orchard Road. Tourist cos it’s full of them in the days when we are hard at work. There they are, as we are working our asses off, they are busy shopping, spending, and adding to the economy of our local shopping scene. No wonder we’ve got sales all year round, it’s to entice them to come here and share their fortunes with humble Singapore! Ok, nothing very romantic again with shopping. =\ Except for this super-romantic statement made by the Man when we walked through a crowded (read, packed almost like sardines) branded bags department at Tangs. We noticed that all of Singapore’s women (those in Singapore, including tourist. ;p) are here shopping while the men are slogging themselves off earning to sustain this ‘hobby’. I was ‘showing remorse’ for the amount I was gonna spend on my SKII facial regime, when he said “it’s ok, it makes my hard work worthwhile.” (Now everybody says… AWWW =O )

So for dinner, we were trying to recall places we’ve been to on our courtship days, things we liked to eat. Sadly, we couldn’t come up with any. Conclusion, we didn’t really go out much. Buying food from Giant or even the convenience store downstairs and cooking at home, then watching movies on the pc in the comfort of the room was bliss for us. The romance really, is in time spent together, ain’t it? So we decided to go home early, after a dinner of yummy claypot rice, we went home and romantically lazed around. =D BLISS!

And I was happy! Nothing like spending a day doing nothing but just spending time together. Sometimes, just spending time in proximity with each other, doing individual things is fruitful. There is underlying peace, and understanding. Ah! I am so getting settled down in my married life. It’s like I was born for this. ^_^

Looking back at our ROM photos one year ago, we looked like kids embarking on a new journey. Now, we seem to have matured, taking on the challenges of life. Ahhh….. don’t you singles out there feel like getting married? ;p

US WHEN WE WERE CUTE AND INNOCENT!

US OLD AND SEASONED AT MY GOWN TESTING! (I know! they said i looked like a cake topper! >( At least I won’t need one for the wedding cake! Hmph!)
