Today’s talking point on the radio is, “What is it that makes you happy today?”

A lot of listeners smsed in their answers and the most common ones were, my son, my daughter, my baby… another common reason for happiness was, my girlfriend, my wife… Ok there was this sweet guy who said thoughts of his dreamgirl the moment he wakes up and thinking of ways to make her happy for the day keeps him happy. Come on, everybody say…. AWWWW!

Haa… the moral behind the story is, as I was pointing out to my Man, men find happiness in their girlfriends and wives, while women find happiness in their children. Ha! Talk about maternal instincts!

He gave me the ‘hmph’ look, like I was one of those women who hold children over their husbands. Ahhh…. I’m not like that! At least not now….(Oops, naming my journal after my kids don’t really count!)

Hmm, but what is the main moral behind this topic? I think it’s LOVE! Seems like love makes everyone happy! Granted, I did not hear anyone saying, “Shopping alone and having the whole bed to myself makes me happy!” Ok, I guess having the bed to myself does warrant some happiness… but then….so does a warmth-emitting “bolster”.

Now… Sunshine and rainbows after the rain makes me happy! Alright! And here’s the politically correct answer… Waking up to a big bear hug from my Man makes me happy! =D
