13th May is My Day!

Seth’s first love!
Last Sunday was the first Mother’s Day I’ve ‘celebrated’. It’s in inverted commas cos there was no celebration… =/ The Man was not at all expressive and I’m so disappointed! Hmph, I shall make a big deal out of Father’s day and make him feel guilty! I’m so looking forward to Seth growing up and making me little cards… heh heh… thou, if he’s like his dad, I think I’m better off dreaming.
Saturday was the Kaima’s birthday! Seth had his vaccination jabs in the morning and was grouchy by the time we reached his Kaima’s house. Fannie just got her own little rented place and everybody just couldn’t wait to crash in on her cosy nest. Haa! Not exactly cosy since she has yet to unpack, but certainly homely as it reminds me of our uni days in Newcastle. It was an impromptu gathering. Everyone just happened to invite themselves over to her house and bring along cakes and food. And so we had a great party going! No frills. Seth even managed a few smiles at the end of the party!
It was just like that in Newcastle. We’ll pop by anyone’s house and hang out. Eventually the whole group will be there and someone will whip up some food while we talked till the cows went home. Hmm… I miss those days… That’s the advantage of having a place of your own I suppose. You can always have friends over for meetups. It’s a priviledge I guess I’ll never get to enjoy… =/
